This will help our new members, as well as those who are interested in the SCA. **Posting in this topic is voluntary....all information you post here will be available to anyone on the forums and anyone on the web. By posting here, you acknowledge that you understand your information is available to the general public**

Device: Don't know the official blazon (William! Help!), but it's chevrons white and green, with an 8-pointed star alternately straight and wavy arms in black

Areas of expertise/types of classes you have taught/things you are learning now: Lots of textile related things: tablet weaving, loom weaving, dying, spinning, some hand sewing (buttons, buttonholes, eyelets, seam finishes), Nålbinding (ancient viking "knitting"), Viking fingerloop braiding, raising silkworms, processing silk cocoons, spinning silk and weaving silk. I also sew and pattern Viking garb, Italian garb, linen rapier armor and I am learning about Russian garb. I am also researching and re-creating Viking textile production tools.

SCA Persona: late 9th century Byzantine based in the Ankara area. I'm a matron of a large family. We own land on which we raise sheep for wool and meat, and grow almond trees.
Years in SCA: 7 or so years
Awards: two Award of Arms; an Argent Comet; and the Shire's Order of the Dragon's Flame.
Modern life: Teresa Ervin from Jefferson County (Louisville), Georgia
Device: I have no device registered. I may or may not get around to doing one. It's not part of my persona.
Interests: Pretty much everything although I focus on sewing and costuming. I can cook well although I don't particularly enjoy it. I like the eating part much more. I like to do things at events. I get bored sitting around.
Classes: I have taught basic recorder, hat making, piping.

hope to make it to a meeting or a practice soon, maybe this Sunday if things work out, need out of the house for a day, going stir crazy, but I remember you Theo :) remember alot of the Shire Populace, but also see many new faces in some of the images on the site

Ty Dianora, Good to be home, just trying to get settled where we can come to a few events, working on shields, got one wrapped and gripped but need a hilt for it, got 2 more in the works that need gripping, a hilt and wrapping, had to leave my Heater back in Idaho as it belonged to my brother in-law, left my big war shield there as well for the war band I fought with to use on the shield wall.
