As we have seen each other at various events, Buck and I have talked to folks about suspending Saxondaeg for one year only and hold it again in 2010. Many of us are falling on lean times at the bank. Another number of us are having surgery/significant health problems expected in the coming months. Those we talked with agreed in general, although there is nothing precluding the occasional weekend workshop or gathering at an SCA event. The calendar is already filling, and for all these various stated reasons, I'm for taking this year off and planning well ahead for 2010.

I think the crickets say a lot. I will not be attending or organizing a Saxondaeg this year. However, I look forward to continuing to work on the tapestry this coming year.
